On the site of the former racecourse in Frankfurt am Main, the DFB Academy is being built, with central administration, academy, performance, conference and training center. On a total area of nine hectares, sports and administration are to be united under one roof, thus growing closer together. A multi-story complex with extensive outdoor facilities is planned.

The dimensions of the new DFB site are impressive, 54,763.06m² is the net floor area of all building floors together. An administrative wing, the new DFB headquarters, will be built on five floors, and there will be a total of 3.5 natural turf pitches, a soccer hall and a fitness area. In the athletes' house, as part of the academy, there will be space for 33 athletes, who will thus have the opportunity to research, work and train directly on site. The sports boulevard offers visitors a fan store and catering facilities. The press has access to a media center with a press conference room of almost 200m², including a journalists' office, interview zones and dedicated parking spaces for media vehicles.

The complex is spread over several buildings, which are located under an all-encompassing roof. Structurally, many special solutions have to be created, such as the facade, the roof and suspended ceilings in the entrance area. Design-wise, the high demands are taken care of, so that a complete unit is created, which is embedded in the existing Frankfurt city forest.
